Nostradamus & China

Will Nostradamus Last Prophecy Also Come True

I presume we all know about Nostradamus, who many centuries ago, made some amazing prophecies of forthcoming major events in World history.

In 1985, I saw a video that was being circulated clandestinely amongst us Indian expatriate friends, about terrorists in turbans attacking US and bringing some tall towers down. That came true unbelievably in 2001.

The last prophecy was the ‘Yellow Hordes’ over running the World, which is what is happening now.

I am reminded of excerpts of a book that is being authored by Rex Tillerson, former Secretary of State of US, who had accompanied Donald Trump on his official visit to China in Nov 2017.

Quoting Li Kegiang’s final address to the US delegation in the Great Hall of the People, he quotes him as saying that “China having already developed it’s industrial and technological base, no longer needed the US!! He indicated to them, that the US role in future global economy would merely be to provide China with raw materials, agricultural products and energy in support to China, in it’s production of cutting-edge industrial and consumer products.

Li, as Premier of the State Council and titular head of China’s Govt, was conveying the message of Xi Jingping.

This explains a lot of recent events – creating artificial islands in South China Sea, extending it’s haegomony over the World to control vital natural resources and trade routes, taking over sovereignty of corrupt nations like Pak & Sri Lanka, interfering in political events like in Burma & most recently in Haiti – and not to forget the Covid 19 pandemic, which is uncontrollably mutating in different forms to knock out the World, and its aggressive bullying acts against its smaller neighbours like Malaysia, Phillipines, Vietnam etc, apart from Taiwan.

In recalling what Nostradamus said about yellow hordes – I think he gave it 30 years or so.

But seeds of their forthcoming decline seems to be emerging very very gradually. To begin with, megalomaniac leaders like Xi-Jinping, always end up destroying themselves and their systems. Their pathological ego, delusions of grandeur and obsession with power, always ends in fatal and disastrous decision making.

For one, by their aggressive acts in the South China Sea and border disputes with all their 22 neighbours, they have made a lot of nations very wary, resulting in alliances forming against them.

Forming of alliances are not only militarily significant but also affects trade policies. Major countries like Japan, Australia, Korea, US, India and groups like the EU have declared their distaste for Chinese goods and technology. 5G is one such example, where export of high end technology, better and cheaper than all other countries has been rejected outright by most nations.

Billions of dollars being spent by the Chinese on their OBOR’s will amount to nothing if nations are not willing to do business with them.

And the last nail that China drove into it’s own reputation, was the Pandemic that the World believes it was responsible for.

But what to my estimation would be the end game for China, would be as a consequence of their involvement in the Country known as the ‘Graveyard of Empires’ – Afghanistan.

This is too valuable a prize for China to give up. It’s location, giving access to Central Asia, Middle East and Europe, along with estimated 2 Trillion dollars worth of minerals, makes it irresistible. And China may think it has a winning hand with Taliban and Pakistan supporting it.

But there is danger also lurking in the form of the following:

  • US smarting under humiliation resulting from a 20 year lost war, costing 2 Trillion dollars and 2,500 lives, will strongly support the Afghans National Army alongwith the Northern Alliance.
  • Russia feeling threatened at the loss of influence amongst the Central Asian Republics, allied with Iran and ETIL (East Turkmenistan Independence Movement), which is already fighting a bitter war with the Chinese in support of Uyghurs.

Finally, Chinese are not infallible. They have a habit of overstating their strength like all bullies. PLA got a bloody nose while fighting the Vietnamese, and even in East Ladakh recently, they did not cover themselves in glory. Their vaccine against Covid 19 is perhaps the worst. They recently completed a 75 storeyed building in Shenzen which is unstable and lies abandoned.

So Nostradamus last prophecy may well turn out to be true, because very likely China is likely to get stuck in the quagmire in Afghanistan. But World will have to wait.
