India Warns China Over Army Deployment In Depsang

New Delhi: India once again warned China, ‘Withdraw your soldiers from Depsang. Stop constructions works. India will not reduce its deployment until the time Chinese Soldiers don’t withdraw from the region.’ Major General level talks were held between the two countries at Daulat Beg Oldie. India, once again, raised the issue of Chinese soldier withdrawal from the Depsang and Pangong Tso regions. It is being reported that the major point of dispute, is regarding the deployment in the Depsang region.

The Major General level talks between India and China ended on Saturday in the night. It is being reported that there was no outcome from the talks. Although the Indian Army has not revealed any details regarding the meeting, it is said that India once again warned China to withdraw its soldiers, in clear words. Major General Abhijit Bapat of the 3 Infantry Division led the Indian delegation.

India has objected to the military deployment and the constructions going on in the area. China is trying to stop India from patrolling in the region between Point 10 and point 13, in Ladakh. The road connecting these two surveillance points passes through Depsang and even if China is stopping India from patrolling this region, India also has delivered a message to China by increasing deployment in the region. It is reported that India is giving highest priority to expel Chinese soldiers from this region, as Depsang in northern Ladakh is very important from a security point of view.

Meanwhile, India has made preparations for long-term military deployment in the region, given the Chinese activities. Along with Ladakh, the additional military deployment will be maintained even in Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim and Himachal.
