Nuclear non proliferation has
hit centre stage with pressure on India to sign the NPT.  At stake
may be the Indo-US nuclear deal?

      At the same time
retired scientists are saying that the Pokhran II tests in 1998 were a 'fizzle' and
India should conduct more nuclear tests to develop a credible nuclear
      deterrence.

India is developing a 'fast breeder' reactor to be
able to utilise the vast Thorium reserves to make nuclear fuel.  In
parallel India is shopping for the vital nuclear fuel, which it needs to
generate electricity, from any country which will sell it.

In the PMs vision India should be able to generate 47,000
MW of electricity by 2050. Will we achieve it?

Where do we go from here?
