AGM-142
|
The AGM-142, an advanced, precision-guided, air-to-ground missile, is effective against high-value ground and sea targets such as power plants, missile sites, bridges, ships, and bunkers. Multiple guidance modes and options provide high accuracy, allowing a building doorway to become a legitimate target. Accurate and cost-effective, the AGM-142’s proven hit probability is 94 percent. Currently employed by the U.S. Air Force on the B-52 bomber, the missile is adaptable to a variety of aircraft. |
HELLFIRE II |
The AGM-114K Hellfire II missile, the primary armament for the Army Apache and Marine Corps Super Cobra helicopters, is an anti-armor missile, which achieves pinpoint accuracy by homing in on a reflected laser energy aimed at the target from the launching helicopter, or ground-based forward observer. Hellfire II is able to defeat all known armored targets and countermeasures, and can fly on a low trajectory beneath cloud cover, reject false reflections, and destroy targets in adverse weather. Known as the "Apache's Edge," Hellfire II is a principal armament for Apache attack helicopters serving U.S. Army and several allied forces. Hellfire II will also arm the U.S. Marine Corps Super Cobra. The U.S. Navy has deployed Hellfire II on HH-60 helicopters, and ground launched applications have been successfully tested. |

JAVELIN
|
Javelin is a lightweight, man-portable shoulder-fired, fire-and-forget medium antitank weapon system designed to provide high lethality all known and projected threat armor. It includes a fire-and-forget, imaging infrared missile, and command launch unit consisting of a day sight for use in clear conditions and an imaging infrared sight for use at night and in reduced visibility. Using an arched top-attack profile, Javelin climbs above its target for improved visibility and then strikes where the armor is weakest. To fire, the gunner places a cursor over the target. The Javelin command launch unit then sends a-lock-on-before-launch signal to the missile. With its soft launch design, Javelin can be safely fired from inside buildings or bunkers. NITE Hawk
|
The NITE Hawk Targeting FLIR (Forward Looking Infrared) AN/AAS-38B system provides F/A-18 pilots with a proven combat advantage. Day or night, fair weather or foul, the system locates, positively identifies, automatically tracks, and laser-designates tactical targets. The pilot is presented with real-time thermal imagery from the FLIR on a cockpit display. |
